The map on the forum shows the B3150 running down Bridport Road. Is this the route for the B3150? If so it would be useful as a visitor to know. From the A35 roundabout one is directed to “Dorchester” via this road. One is faced with road bumps and slalom of traffic prevention measures and speed restrictions. Is this the B3150 or not? A “B” road should not be subject to a 20mph limit. If not, why is the alternative not properly signposted. It would seem more sensible to use the road to the right. But there are no signposts to this effect. Indeed there are no signposts anywhere in Dorchester for Poundbury!

Yeah the old B3150 (Bridport Road) is to be down graded, and the main flow of traffic will use the Middle Farm Way to the south and the Peverell Avenues when they get connected. The local council seem to have a chip on their shoulder about Poundbury so dont seem to want to allow any official roads signs to mention Poundbury I think it should really be on ALL signs around the Dorchester bypass, and from the Top of Town roundabout. The problem is that the Council round here are living in the past and holding the town back

Appreciate your response regarding road signing. This does not abrogate responsibility. Current signs are totally lacking (and perhaps) misleading (including maps on the website). Please as the Administrator put your own house in order first.
As a first time visitor in the middle of the night I spent many futile hours circling Dorchester looking on ring roads looking for "Poundbury".
Subsequently as a regular visitor I have found articulated lorries, coaches and private foreign cars stuck in Poundbury asking for directions.
Goodness knows how much the real locals have to put up with or what will happen when the Olympic Games take place down the road.
No doubt the Police will be called, the road closed and eventually the heavy vehicle released from the speed restriction (as was my last experience).
If it is the intention of local government to redirect the A35 and the A37 down the B3150 (Bridport Road according to your website) and current signs (Dorchester) they should say so and provide subsequent direction signs rather than leave travelers in ignorance.
If it is local government intention to re-route two trunk roads (I suspect out of sheer spite), then they should be taken to task with vigor.

This Forum, The Poundbury website, the Poundbury Maps are not made or run by the Council, the Duchy, the Builders, or Residents Association. They are run, built, designed and paid for by one resident. In what way am I also responsible for the lack of Poundbury signage? Appreciate your response regarding road signing. Where is Middle Farm Way? It is not on any of your maps. The Middle Farm Way is on the Poundbury Map and always has been. The road is marked on the Google map below, but not named as Google is a bit out of date I may be good but I dont think I can do much about that one sorry.
