G’day from Sydney Australia

We just had Prince Charles on telle on the Australian 60minutes program, he was interviewed by some yank about His and Camellia upcoming visit to America.
HRH mentioned Poundbury as being one of his great passions, so I looked you folk up on the web.
Poundbury appears to be centred west of Dorchester in the area south west of Middlemarsh Street and Bridpoint Road. It is still not listed on some online maps. I think it’s the pin marker on you sites map. I wish your site had a detailed map showing all the streets, squares, and ways.
HRH and you have created an traditional old English village by the looks of it, brilliant, well done all.
But now in true Aussie style, I will with respect and honour make some critical comments from a far. I am sure I don’t know what I am talking about, but here goes anyway.
The Bus stop shelters design really look out of place, too modern, I would have liked to see a solid brick or stone construction to blend in with the homes and buildings more. Also I would have liked to have seen several designed as a tiny two story self contained one bedroom flat, for the free use by hobos or homeless persons, subject to council allocation, in return as caretaker of the bus stop shelter, and local helper to the community.
Covered colonnades of some type through out the village enabling keeping dry and out of the snow when walking to the shops or community centre.
Some comments on the website, I really am a pest I know, But these thinks struck me as maybe they could be improved. Some night photos of the village, both public areas and if there are any private gardens illuminated at night. While I am on about gardens, I don’t like the gold picture frames they are tacky, just a modern drop shadow effect would suit your very modern and clean website. Maybe lose the rough cut on your general photos for standard straight edge photos, with fade bevel or drop shadow effect, some think that lifts the photos off the page in 3D.
I think it would be great if HRH could create Poundbury’s very own Community Television Station (CTV) with local productions as well as feeding into super channel Manchester network and others. www.commedia.org.uk/about-community-media/community-television
Poundbury would then join the world with your own CTV station and be listed on international indexes. mediahopper.com/portal.htm and www.communitymedia.se/cat/index.htm
Your have to get a live web camera for the Poundbury market square. See the Sydney one www.viewsydney.com You know what tourists and locals do now with the live web cameras around the world, they phone home on the mobile while standing in the web cameras field of view so the folks at home can see them as they talk and wave.
You appear to have a great little village be happy,
Cheers
