Why have we got such deep gravel on our pavements? It is very difficult to push a buggie I have given up and walk on the road like the few other people who use their legs in Poundbury.
Why can we buy posh flowers, a vintage bottle of wine or a wedding dress but have an hour round trip to buy a loaf of bread?
Why did they not think about access to the bus stops on the new Parkway road yet again impossible with a buggie.
Why is it so windy here?

I agree Mrs Judd the gravel is a nuisance. I've noticed in the recent Poundbury Newsletter it mentions "loose gravel surfaces are no longer favoured" in the Poundbury Development Brief. I am not sure if that means pavements or just parking areas. Let's hope it won't be too long before you get a shop nearer to home where you can buy a loaf of bread etc. May I add a moan of my own? What does everyone think of the Christmas Tree in Pummery Square? I think it's a very sad looking specimen and I'll be surprised if it lasts until Christmas. Surely Poundbury can do better than this.

well I came on here to have a moan about the Christmas tree myself! What an awful tree, we have had better than this in the past. It is such a bare little thing that with these winds, I'll be surprised if it lasts through the weekend!! The lights look as if they've just been thrown up there too, I realise in the past there has been a big problem with the lights being stolen and even branches being broken off the tree (we've had to shout at some lads many a time in the past to leave it alone) but surely we deserve better than this? As for the gravel, I'm another who walks the roads......

First of all that's not a tree it's a branch and not a very good one at that!! Also as far as the gravel goes I think we should get a subsidy towards the extra wear on our shoes it causes.

Yeah, I agree the Christmas Tree is a bit of an embarrassment I hear that they were offered trees from three different people! If that was the best out of the three, I cant imagine what the others would have been like
