How will Dorchester grow over the next 10-20 years? When Poundbury is finished, and all space within the Dorchester bypass has been developed, how will Dorchester grow? Could the bypass be extended around the north of the town and maybe the land within this new road be developed? A new Poundbury style development? What do you think?

The thin yellow lines on the map below show how you could have a cycle path network between the new communities and the town centre, so people can easily cycle to work and to also allow the whole town to enjoy the beautiful river frome.

Over the next twenty to thirty years the local council are going to need to find the space to build thousands of new homes Imagine you're the person who has to make that big decision ;D Where are they going to go?

The northern bypass would solve much of the traffic problems in Dorchester, but so would removing all the unnecessary traffic lights in the town.

Looking at the aerial photos of Dorchester the locations shown on your plans seem to make a lot of sense. Those fields to the north of the river are on high ground and would have amazing views back cross the valley towards the town centre.
I wonder what the Town council would have to say about these ideas?
