You might find your result vary massively depending on what time of day you fun the test, so do a few and see what your average is.
It think speeds drop off in the evenings.

Test your Broadband speed here - www.speedtest.netMy download speed was 4.36mb/s Please place your result in the vote above Thanks! hi I test the speed of my internet in many sites I got the best speed results from here www.scanmyspeed.com/my results are download=1.09Mbps upload=0.87Mbps I dont know the reason why my speed seems to be slow many of them said that if Cable Internet services share bandwidth with satellite Internet access. If there are many subscribers using that same bandwidth, it can slow down the connection. kindly guide me how to solve this problem .

go back in time and get developers who aren't scared of the future, they install fibreoptics or cable and everyone's happy, well, everyone that uses a computer to do anything online that needs more bandwidth than checking emails and browsing flashfree sites

You don't need fibre, get a proper BT master socket, install an iplate and away you go.
