A system fault occurred in the area around Peverell Avenue West, Westcott Street at around 6.30PM last night (Thursday 27th October). We attended the fault within an hour or so and found that some main line cables had been pulled by builders which pulled the cables away from their connectors causing the system to fail. The problem to our knowledge was completely rectified, should any residents still have problems with Freeview please re-scan your Freeview box, this should rectify any leftover issues.

Digital Switchover: The Terrestrial TV system at Poundbury is fed by the Rowridge Transmitter on the Isle of Wight. Rowridge commences Switchover on 7th March 2012, at this time Analogue BBC2 will disappear completely from the transmitter and digital channels will see an increase in signal level. On 21st March stage 2 of the switchover takes place, at this point all of the remaining analogue channels will disappear and all of the digital channels will gain more signal strength. On 18th April 2012 2 of the channel groups will change frequency and the transmitter will begin transmitting Digital on full power. All Freeview boxes and TV's will need to be re-scanned at each of these dates to ensure continuous reception. It is fully anticipated that during the run up to March 2012 there will be many occasions when the Digital signal behaves in an erratic manner due to preparation for these events. Should there be any queries on these activities please contact me during working hours in our office. I will endeavour to be of assistance wherever possible. Tony Macinnes, Technical Sales Manager, T2 Digital.

Having arrived at Poundbury this afternoon it has been found that the Power Supply to the system is currently off. We are currently trying to establish who is responsible for this and get it turned back on.

Woodlands Crescent: Our freeview has been down over the Christmas holiday, however Sky+ still working. Has anyone else experienced the same? Tried to phone T2digital but I suspect they're closed until the new year.

Woodlands Crescent: I had the emergency call phone over the Christmas period and didn't receive any calls from Poundbury. Can you confirm that the system in this area is working correctly at the moment. Tony Macinnes, Technical Sales Manager, T2 Digital.

We are currently working on a problem in the area of Windslade Street, Peverel Avenue East. A repeater amplifier in the system is faulty and is causing the loss of some satellite channels in Low Band. Unfortunately the amplifier unit that is faulty is no longer available so we are having to order in a part to replace it. I hope to have this part on site by tomorrow but worst case scenario will be Monday. This is not losing all Satellite channels just a small number.

Just to make everyone aware on the 18th April there will be a further change to the Rowridge Transmitter, which feeds Poundbury. This will involve one frequency change to one group of channels including Dave, Watch, Sky News etc and a power up of signals to follow. Freeview will have to be retuned at this point. We will also have to re-programme several of the Switch Stations at Poundbury as a result of this, a job expected to take 2 to 3 days overall. Therefore expect some reception issues for a day or two after 18th April.
